Hindu Bridal Makeup
Built for the muhurtham clock — and everything the day asks after it.
What makes hindu bridal makeup its own discipline.
A Hindu wedding is the longest test in bridal makeup: a look that is often finished before sunrise, then carries through fire-side rituals, hall lighting, a hundred blessings and thousands of photographs. Anu has styled more Hindu brides than any other kind — it is the heart of her work, and the look is engineered for endurance as much as beauty.
Four things Anu plans for that generic bridal makeup doesn't.
The muhurtham clock
Many muhurthams mean a 3–4am start. The base is built in thin, heat-proof layers so skin set before dawn still looks fresh at the reception — no thick corrections halfway through the day.
Silks and temple jewellery
Kanjeevaram reds, golds and greens are strong company. Colour choices — a classic red-toned lip, defined eyes, warm skin — are made against your actual saree and jewellery, so the face leads the frame instead of competing with it.
Hair, jadai and fresh flowers
Braids with malligai, extensions for volume, and headpieces anchored to survive hours of rituals and prostrations. The hair plan is engineered, not just styled.
A multi-function week
Engagement, muhurtham and reception are booked as separate sessions, so each function gets a fresh, purpose-built look rather than one look stretched across three days.
Quoted for your ceremony and your look.
Rates and packages depend on your functions, venue and the look you want. Share your date and Anu's team sends you everything, usually within an hour.
What hindu bridal brides ask before booking.
As early as the muhurtham demands — 3–4am starts are routine in Chennai wedding season. Bridal makeup takes around three hours, and Anu works the start time backwards from your ritual schedule so you're ready with calm time to spare, not a rush.
Yes. The base is set specifically for heat, humidity and fire-side rituals, built in thin long-wear layers so skin looks fresh from the muhurtham to the reception. This endurance is the most-tested part of Anu's Hindu bridal work.
Yes — every bridal package includes saree draping and hair styling with extensions: curls, messy braid or a traditional jadai anchored with malligai and fresh flowers. The hair plan is engineered to survive hours of rituals and prostrations without slipping.
Reds, golds and greens are strong company, so shades — a classic red-toned lip, defined eyes, warm skin — are chosen against your actual saree and jewellery. The face is made to lead the frame rather than compete with the silk and gold.
Yes — engagement, muhurtham and reception are booked as separate sessions, so each gets a fresh, purpose-built look rather than one look stretched across three days. Each function is simply booked on its own.
Every tradition, styled on its own terms.
