Nagapattinam runs along the coast at the southern edge of the delta, and it has a more mixed religious make-up than its neighbours. Velankanni in particular is a major Christian pilgrimage centre, and church weddings are a normal part of the district's calendar rather than an exception.
Church ceremonies need a different approach from a mandapam morning. The hair has to work with a veil, the finish is usually softer and more photograph-led because church light is cooler and more even, and the timing is fixed by the church rather than by an almanac. Christian bridal makeup is treated as its own service for exactly that reason.
Hindu temple weddings continue across the rest of the district in the delta tradition, and coastal humidity applies to both. Bridal, engagement and reception looks are all covered, with bridesmaid and family styling booked at the same time.
