Ranipet was separated from Vellore in 2019, but the wedding culture along this stretch of the Palar river is far older than the district boundary. Arcot and Walajapet in particular have a deep local tradition of large family weddings held in town halls and older mandapams.
For a makeup artist that means fairly traditional briefs: heavy silk, substantial jewellery, temple or hall ceremonies and early muhurtham slots. It also means a lot of family members getting ready in the same house on the same morning, which is why bridesmaid and family makeup is usually booked at the same time as the bride's rather than separately.
The district is close enough to Vellore and Kancheepuram that many couples end up with a venue in one district and a family home in another. That is straightforward to plan as long as both addresses are shared at the enquiry stage.
