Perambalur is one of the smallest districts in Tamil Nadu, inland between Trichy and the delta, and largely agricultural. Weddings here are local affairs: the families usually know each other, the guest list is drawn from the surrounding villages, and the ceremony is held close to home.
That does not make the makeup simpler, only different. Halls are smaller and more warmly lit, the bride is photographed at close range by relatives all morning, and the ceremony often starts before dawn. A finish that holds under those conditions matters more than one designed for a big stage.
The main practical issue is travel. Perambalur is a long way from Chennai with no quick route, so bookings are planned with the team arriving the previous evening rather than driving through the night.
