Few districts ask for such different work in one place. Kodaikanal, high in the Palanis, is destination wedding country: cold mornings, mist, garden ceremonies and families staying at the venue for several days. Down on the plains, Palani and Oddanchatram are traditional temple and hall wedding towns with early muhurtham timings and warm indoor light.
Those two require opposite decisions. A base chosen for a damp, cold hill morning is not the base for a crowded hall in Palani in the afternoon, and hair set for still indoor air will not survive a Kodaikanal garden. So the first practical question at booking is not the date but the altitude.
